ABOUT THE SERIES

Background

Every region has an "energy cluster "– the existing network of state and local leaders who know the details of ongoing initiatives and how to leverage them, who know how to capitalize on the intersections between business, universities and government, and who have intimate knowledge of their own regional competitive advantages, state economic structures, and local assets.

The best thing for energy is to strengthen regional energy clusters.

Our Solution

To strengthen regional energy clusters around the country, the American Energy Society will collaborate with leading energy centers to host the American Energy Series in states where energy has become a very political issue.

Professionals and energy leaders from all sectors will attend the events.  All stakeholders will have full access to the event as well as live and archived webinar broadcasts and post-event publications. Stakeholders will have opportunities to craft solutions relevant to their region while diverse audiences from a variety of professions will be given their first chance to hear about and speak to new ideas. A conservative estimate is that the American Energy Series will directly impact more than 25,000 stakeholders and countless more through a variety of marketing activities.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain access to a broad cross-section of the state, regional and national energy communities.

  • Network with other companies, talented personnel, and promising start-ups.

  • Promote their company and their efforts to like-minded stakeholders and conference attendees.

  • Develop new contacts and networks while renewing and strengthening current partnerships.

  • Shape region-specific energy policy, which in turn informs national policy.

  • Connect with the world’s largest professional association for energy.

A Request

The American Energy Society seeks input regarding:

  • Suggested content that will be covered in each regionally-centered event

  • Suggested participants for each state-centered event

  • Recommended sponsors who support state/region-centered conversations about energy

  • Stakeholders who share a public commitment to human energy, concern for global responsibility, and commitment to finding newer, cleaner ways to power the world.

The American Energy Society would like to thank some of the small businesses and organizations who are supporting the Energy Series.
